Claude Bitton - Developing in a Recession

Claude Bitton’s career in real estate began as a property manager; his inspirations in architecture lead him into real estate development. Claude Bitton’s most notable project Regency on the Ravine started in 2008 before the recession peaked. Claude Bitton despite the recession has continued to build Regency on the Ravine. He believes in the real estate market especially for the condominium market targeting young first time buyers.

Claude Bitton knows that this is the time for people who are looking into purchasing real estate for the first time. Multiple housing options are available and most importantly mortgage rates is on the downswing. During a recession you should be able to save a lot of money of your real estate purchase. In many markets the recession has caused real estate prices to drop three to five percent. This will differ on where you are shopping and what you are shopping for! But no matter where you are buying it is safe to say you buying during a recession will save you money.

Claude Bitton understands that the recession is of course a catch – 22 – many home owners want to take advantage of the down market and perhaps move to a better neighbourhood or larger home but if they can not sell their current home then it may be difficult to move. For those that are looking to get into the real estate market for the first time, this is clearly an excellent time to do so, especially with mortgage rates on the downswing.

Claude Bitton has gone through the early 1990’s recession and now this one. He has always believed in the real estate market and always kept his head high with following through on all his projects. Regency on the Ravine started in early 2008 before the recession started and even though through these hard times Claude Bitton has continued the construction of his luxury 16 story condo complex – Regency on the Ravine.
